This is how I picture it when people declare that they can’t hold all their feels.

Like you’re hanging out with a group of people, and you have your bag in your lap with stuff and you’re just kinda of playing with some of them.

These are your every day feels.

Suddenly your best friend stands up and says she has to take a call, and asks you to hold her bag while she’s gone. You say sure and she plunks it on your lap. Sure it’s a little awkward at first but the longer she’s gone, the more you get used to the weight.

These would be your first fandom feels, like Harry Potter.

After a while, your friend Stephen decides he has to go to the bathroom. His friend Mark follows him and both drop their bags on you. Mark’s isn’t that bad, but Stephen’s is huge and kinda makes you whimper when it slides off your lap and hits your foot. 

Then freaking Eric decides to go to the kitchen for a sandwich and puts his trench coat over your shoulder, which you swear is heavier than it should be. 

Those are your newer, more intense fandom feels.

And so you’re just left there, trying to hold everything together, tears welling in your eyes, scrabbling to hold onto everything but you just can’t. You just can’t, dammit. And suddenly, you’re having feels because you can’t even hold all your feels.

And once in a while, someone will come back in, say Eric, pick up his coat and you can breathe a sigh of relief until you realize he’s just putting something in the pocket and putting it right back down on you.
